TIC PITIC – Small Size Days #10

For Ion Creangă Theatre the last weekend of January means time and space for the little ones. The 10th edition of TIC PITIC Small Size Days take place in between the 26-28 of January at Small Hall (21-23 Amzei Church) and at the Grand Hall (13 Amzei Square). Shows from abroad and from our Romanian colleagues, but also from our repertoire, educational and sensory workshops will complete this experience that takes the form of a small festival dedicated to the youngest – from 6 months to 6 years.

In addition, this year, all the members of the Small Size Network, respectively the Ion Creangă Theatre, will organize activities within this event under the theme „Tree stories”. However, the English term can be translated both with the meaning of the number „three” and with the meaning of the noun „tree”. Thus, three bands with three performances were selected, and all of them also have stories close to nature.

For the Ion Creangă Theatre, this year’s edition of TIC PITIC – Small Size Days is an anniversary one. For 10 years, in January, the doors of the Theatre have been open for the youngest spectators, offering thousands of reasons for curiosity and play. This year, two foreign theater companies will participate – Flores Teatro Danza (Mexico), with the show „Fear devours everything… let dreams soar” (2+) and Escena Miriňaque (Spain), with the show „tÁ” (2+). From Romania, our friends from the Arcadia Company of the Queen Mary Theatre in Oradea will come with the show „Norr and the magical world of colours” (0-3). The Ion Creangă Theatre will be represented by – „A world from scratch” (0-3) and „The bear tricked by the fox” (3-6).

This year our little spectators will enjoy a special workshop held by the artist Fernando Leija Flores (Mexico) – „The body in motion. Creative dance workshop”, for parents and children between 2 and 6 years old. Together they will discover how beautifully they can play together in a creative and artistic way. At the same time, Marius Boboc, the youngest actor of the Ion Creangă Theatre, will hold another workshop for the whole family, in which they will discover ways to move together, in a unique and very entertaining way – „First dance steps. Movement workshop”.

Julieana Drăghici an experienced actress of the Ion Creangă Theatre will hold a workshop for the very young (6-12 months), where they will discover colors, shapes and sounds in an infinite space of imagination – „Rainbow of emotions. Sensory workshop”. Those who are slightly older (3-6) are expected at two special workshops coordinated by Daniela Olaru of the Katartis Publishing House – „About wisdom, for everyone to understand. Interactive theater workshop” & „How to build a tree. Interactive Arts & Crafts workshop”. They will read and create stories about nature and friendship to learn how important the relationship between the two is.

Tickets are available online at Entertix.ro and Myticket.ro, but also at the Ion Creangă Box office (13 Amzei Square) – no. goal. 0767 934 374.
